Our history

When Cassis was still a small port known only to its inhabitants, living from fishing, coral and cod drying, the Liautaud family was already working as innkeepers.
Tradition even tells that their first inn dates back to the 17th century!
Wishing to settle near the port, the patriarch, Francois, acquired a building at the corner of Victor Hugo street and created the Café Liautaud and the hotel of the same name. From then on, several generations of Liautauds perpetuated a tradition of hospitality and conviviality.
